I was recently asked, “how safe is AI to use as a friend or a therapist?”

AI can be kind. AI can be clever. AI can even sound like it gets you.
But it is not your friend.
And it is definitely not your therapist.
It’s a tool.
We’re living through the loneliest moment in human history, so it’s tempting to let a tool fill a human gap. The danger? It’s still a commercial product, designed to mimic you, learn you, and use that data back on you.
Use AI. Learn from it. Leverage it.
But don’t hand it your heart, your secrets and your sense of self without wisdom and boundaries.
